Traveling does not have to be stressful. If you are in the US, TSA Pre (https://www.tsa.gov/precheck) is a big relief! It last 5 years and you speed through security lines and don’t have to remove your shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, and light jackets. The cost of this is only $85.
If you flight internationally, you are probably better off getting Global Entry (https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/how-apply). It cost $100, and it includes Pre TSA as well. You will be able to avoid the long lines when you are back in the country!
Frequent Flyer programs are also great. Although some airlines like my favorite American Airlines benefits have being declining. You can still get free check bags, priority boarding, first class checking and all those good perks. Also, they are making it harder but you can still get upgrades to business or first class using their 500 miles certificates (if you are Gold or Platinum) or free if you are Executive Platinum. I used this upgrades several times- great perk.
I also love the American Airlines Credit Card that gives you access to the Admirals Club. It comes with a $450 fee but if you fly a lot is worth it. Also you don’t pay extra for a second card and person also gets access to the club. A regular membership to the club by itself is over $500!
